International Applicants 

Admission Eligibility

Foreign nationals having their Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent examination from foreign education boards / GCE “A” level or its equivalent education in foreign countries shall be considered as Foreign students. Please check below for program-wise additional admission eligibility for international students.

Faculty of Science & Engineering

Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary or its equivalent examination with minimum “A” grades or 70% marks in Mathematics, Physics.

Candidates passing the GCE “O” Level and GCE “A” Level must earn minimum of B grade in at least five subjects (including Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) in GCE “O”Level examination and minimum of A grade in each of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in GCE “A” Level examination.

Bachelor of Pharmacy

Student must have completed Biology & Chemistry during Higher Secondary or its equivalent examination.

World School of Business

Students having their Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent examination from foreign education boards / GCE “A” level or its equivalent education.

Faculty of Arts & Humanities

Students having their Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent examination from foreign education boards / GCE “A” level or its equivalent education.

MA (Final) in English

At least a second class either in the Bachelor (Hons.) in English or in relevant disciplines from any recognized university.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

A bachelor’s degree in any discipline (please note that two-year BA/B.Sc./B.Com degrees do not fulfill the 15-year schooling requirement; a master’s degree will be required in such cases)a minimum CGPA of 2.50 on a 4-point scale or at least second class in all exams.

Master of Laws(LL.M)

LL.B from any recognized university. A minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 4-point Scale or at least Second Class in all exams.

English language requirement for students whose primary language is not English :
English Placement Test
  • Students, whose native language is not English and who do not fulfill the above English Language Requirement, will have to take the English Placement Test at WUB after their arrival. Students who pass the English Placement Test with an acceptable standard may start classes in their regular program.
  • Students who fail to pass the English Placement Test are required to take special English classes to improve their skills and, when necessary, they will take reduced load for that semester. Students who may need a more vigorous preparation will take an intensive
    course in English before enrolling in a regular program.

English Language Requirement

A good knowledge of English language is required for all programs at WUB. If you’ve completed all your secondary school/high school in a country where English is not the language of instruction, you can demonstrate proficiency by taking one of these exams and earning the required scores:

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) examination: Accepted with a 60 or better for the Internet-based test and 500 or better for the paper-based test.
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination (academic modules): Accepted with a 5.5 or better band score (academic modules).
Mathematics Placement Test

Students of programs of study that require strong background in mathematics may be required to take a mathematics placement test, and depending on the results, may have to take special mathematics classes with or without reduced load.

Personal Interviews

Personal interviews are not normally required as part of the admission process; however, WUB reserves the right to request an interview before making a final decision on accepting an applicant.

Master of Public Health (MPH)

  • MBBS, B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc Physiotherapy or its equivalent degree is the basic requirement for all MPH courses. However, the courses are also open to non-medical persons having MA degree in Social Sciences, M.Sc. in Biological Sciences, Pharmacy and its relevant disciplines, Health Economics, Nutrition, Home Economics, etc. with at least 2nd Class or a CGPA of 2.50, who also may be eligible to apply.
  • Any additional attainment above the minimum entry requirement may be credited to candidates’ accounts by the decision of the Academic Council.
